16.02.10 - Jet2.com forcefully extends its presence in Spain
The low cost airline from the north of England Jet2.com continues to post a strong place within the Spanish market, and from May they will introduce 5 new routes between the peninsula and the United Kingdom, reaching the important number of 43 connections from a total of 11 airports in Spain. The last terminal adding to the Jet2 extension plan is Reus, which will have two flights a week to Manchester starting on the 25th of May.
However, a great number of the new connections will be concentrated to the Canary airports: Jet2.com is going to open its new base of East Midlands with flights from Lanzarote and Tenerife, while Gran Canaria will have flights to Newcastle.
To accompany its expansion in Spain and in Europe, the airline, based in Leeds, has increased its fleet, at the moment relying on 22 Boeing 737 and 11 Boeing 757.
